	Our Mission Statement

LYA MISSION: To provide the youth of Lumberton and surrounding area communities with the opportunity to experience the joy and thrill of the game of soccer in a player centered environment. The focus is on FUN and DEVELOPMENT in an inclusive nurturing environment with effective age appropriate training & coaching where all athletes are given the opportunity to compete. We strive for our athletes to develop good sportsmanship skills, individual and team soccer skills, self-esteem, leadership skills, and we foster Lumberton Township Pride! In short, LYA provides an enjoyable, developmental, and appropriately competitive soccer environment for all players, coaches, and parents.

U-8 Wildcats coach who has earned the "Sportsmanship Award". All the coaches in the conference voted for the coach who best exhibited fairness, courtesy, positive attitude, as well as serving as a role model and abiding by the rules.

Boys Spring Soccer will start on Sunday, March 21

revised schedules will follow

Mandatory Coaches meeting for Thur., 2/25 is postponed to Wed., 3/10.

The mandatory coaches meeting will be held on
Wednesday, March 10, starting at 8pm at the Marriott, Mt. Laurel.

LYA PRIMARY GOALS:

1. Help children discover a love for soccer that will last their lifetime

2. Provide all participating players an encouraging environment committed to development of individual technical skills, tactical insight, and high self-esteem

3. Build “winning youth players” regardless of the score of any match. Strictly winning games is not the focus of this organization

4. Challenge players to develop individually and provide opportunity to experience success as a team

5. Prepare players for successful Junior High, High School, College and adult play
