Our Mission Statement
LYA MISSION: To provide the youth of Lumberton and surrounding area communities with the opportunity to experience the joy and thrill of the game of soccer and basketball in a player centered environment. The focus is on FUN and DEVELOPMENT in an inclusive nurturing environment with effective age appropriate training & coaching where all athletes are given the opportunity to compete.  We strive for our athletes to develop good sportsmanship skills, individual and team skills, self-esteem, leadership skills, and we foster Lumberton Township Pride!   In short, LYA provides an enjoyable, developmental, and appropriately competitive sports environment for all players, coaches, and parents.

Player online registration starts Jan 20 - Feb 19

Mandatory LYA Coaches meeting for Feb 28  at the Lumberton Courtroom at 7-9pm 

Spring Travel Soccer season starts on Saturday, March 3 (Girls) and Sunday, March 4 (Boys)

 

** Registration only for travel players already accepted by coach into travel roster **

Our Goals

LYA PRIMARY GOALS:
1.   Help children discover a love for soccer that will last their lifetime
2.   Provide all participating players an encouraging environment committed to development of individual technical skills, tactical insight, and high self-esteem
3.   Build “winning youth players” regardless of the score of any match. Strictly winning games is not the focus of this organization
4.   Challenge players to develop individually and provide opportunity to experience success as a team
5.   Prepare players for successful Junior High, High School, College and adult play
